Loudoun County's wineries cluster in four rough zones:

• Middleburg cluster — Boxwood Estate Winery, Greenhill Vineyards, Chrysalis Vineyards, RdV Vineyards. Concentrated within 20 minutes of the historic village of Middleburg. Highest-end tasting rooms, most polished visitor experience.
• Purcellville and Bluemont cluster — Sunset Hills, 868 Estate Vineyards, Twin Oaks Tavern, Bluemont Vineyard. Higher elevation, mountain views, often the choice for celebration groups.
• Waterford and Lucketts cluster — Doukénie, Hidden Brook, Fabbioli Cellars, Stone Tower Winery. More rural, longer driving between stops.
• Leesburg cluster — Willowcroft, Casanel, and a handful of others within 15 minutes of Leesburg proper.

A typical wine-tour bus itinerary hits 3 wineries in a day. Any more than that and tastings blur together and groups run out of time. Our dispatch will help build a route matched to your group's palate, group size, and starting point.

Fleet options for wine tours

• Sprinter (14 passenger) — small bachelorette or friend groups. Fits the smaller winery parking lots (Doukénie, Fabbioli, some Middleburg cluster wineries) more easily than a full coach.
• 20-passenger party bus — perimeter seating, sound system, cooler for water and champagne between tastings. Popular for bachelorette parties.
• 30-passenger party bus — larger friend groups, dance-floor lighting, big cooler capacity.
• 36-passenger executive coach — corporate team outings, more polished vibe than a party bus, still spacious.
• 40-56 passenger motorcoach — large corporate or association outings. Note: some smaller wineries don't have parking for full-size coaches; our dispatch will map your route around this.

Winery reservations, pickup logistics, and route notes

Most Loudoun wineries require tasting reservations for groups of 6+. Some (Boxwood, RdV) require reservations for any visit. Our dispatch will not build an itinerary without confirming your winery-side bookings — walking a 20-person group into a winery unannounced typically ends with the tasting-room manager politely turning you away.

Route notes:

• Route 15 north of Leesburg (Lucketts corridor) is a two-lane road that can back up on peak fall weekends. Plan tighter itineraries in October.
• Route 50 through Middleburg village narrows to 25 mph — expect slower transit through the historic district.
• Some winery driveways (Fabbioli, Hidden Brook) are steep gravel — full-size coaches manage but slowly.
• Bluemont Vineyard sits at 951 feet of elevation with commanding views — coach access is fine but the drive up Snickers Gap is worth planning around.
